In this tenth lesson of The Mausoleum architectural visualization series, I demonstrate how to texture a candle and create a realistic flame in 3DS Max and V-Ray. The tutorial also covers lighting the flame properly so it casts shadows and illuminates the surroundings, a technique that can be applied to fireplaces and other flame-based light sources in archviz projects.
