In this tutorial I show you how to create a glass lamp shade material in 3DS Max and V-Ray so that it realistically looks as though it has a light in the center, with softer falloff and less light at the edges.


This is a simple but powerful trick I use on all circular glass lamp shades, as it renders quickly, looks photorealistic, and adds realism to interior lighting setups.
